How are artists feeling about meta training their AI with our content? I have concerns about this!

Next month Meta will be training their AI models using public content posted by users on their meta accounts. Luckily, as I'm in the UK I've objected but how much does this actually protect us? Only recently OpenAI had some glitches where their AI models practically had minds of their own! I worry about artists having protection over their work. We can already tell (mostly) when work is produced by AI vs a human but, if AI has access to meta's platform which hosts millions of creatives, who knows what the AI models will actually become, it's entering a new and uncharted space. I don't think copyright protection will help us now, copyright was written for humans copying humans, not software digesting billions of data from creatives! I've not been worried about AI until now. Are other creatives worried about this and is there anything else we can do aside from opting out.
